Dear Cousin:
I take  my  pen  in  hand  to  let you know that we are all well
at present.  Hoping  these  few  lines  may  find  you  all well.
I received  your  letter  dated March the 19th, which gave me
great satisfaction  to  hear that you was all well and doing well.
you will  please  excuse  my  long  delay  of  writing  to  you.
The connection  is  all  well  as  far as I know.  Crops is
tolerable good.    Corn is scarce.  Old corn is worth 754 per bushel,
bacon 10 to 12, wheat $1 per bushel. I want to hear from you all,
Uncle Robert  and Aunt Nancy, Uncle Zachairah and Aunt Hester, and
Aunt Jane McClurken, and all of my cousins.  Tell them that I would
be glad  to  see them all.  james Lindsey is before the people for
a seat in the State Legislature.  Brother Carrel and David
Franklin is  merchandising.    Wm.  C.  Lindsey  is  teaching school and
I finished  laying  by cotton yesterday.  We have had two
chhildren since  I  wrote  you  before,  one is a boy and the other a
girl. They  are  9  months  old.  We call the boy john Micajah, and
the girl  Nancy  Lavina.  We think they are very smart and pretty.
My dear cousin give my respects to all of the conection in that
part of the country.  Tell them that I would be glad to hear from
them all when I write to
